At the FUNDIEXPO international exhibition, Norican Group showcased its innovative solutions in metal casting. For this event, we at Lumenstory created a 3D animation for a large LED screen, designed to captivate visitors with a spectacular visual representation of the complex metal manufacturing process.
Our primary goal was to develop a dynamic, visually impressive video that clearly illustrates the key stages of metal part production using Norican Group’s equipment. The company is revolutionizing the metal casting industry by making it more sustainable, digital, and efficient.
The animation was not only meant to explain the core processes but also to visually convey the transformation from a “dirty” traditional process to a clean, modern, and eco-friendly one.
To achieve this, we created an animation that sequentially demonstrates the six main stages of production:
Sand mixing and metal melting
Melting and dosing
Forming metal parts
Green sand molding
Die casting
Surface treatment (shot blasting)
Digital technology integration
The visual concept was built on contrast: we started with a dark, dusty atmosphere representing traditional metal casting, which gradually transformed into a clean, automated, and technologically advanced process.
To enhance the impact, we incorporated 3D anamorphic elements, deep particle simulations, and highly realistic material physics. Using the powerful Redshift render engine in Cinema 4D, we achieved vivid metal textures, detailed molten metal effects, realistic lighting, and reflections.
The animation was seamlessly integrated into a large LED screen, creating an immersive experience—visitors felt as if the manufacturing processes were unfolding right before their eyes.
The video delivered a wow factor, attracting attention at FUNDIEXPO while effectively showcasing Norican Group’s sustainable and digital approach. This helped the company not only demonstrate its expertise but also engage new clients and partners.
