Audi launched an outdoor campaign for the Q8 model with the goal of highlighting the vehicle’s exterior design and key technological features in a bold, high-impact format.
The communication focus was the car’s lighting innovations — HD Matrix LED headlights and digital OLED rear lights — presented in a way that feels premium, dynamic and visually striking in a real urban environment.
The illusion had to hold up under real billboard conditions.
The content was designed for a large LED billboard located along a busy autobahn, where visibility, readability and impact from a specific viewing angle were critical.
The anamorphic format required precise alignment with the screen’s technical parameters, including resolution and frame behavior. The visual had to remain clear and convincing within a short duration while preserving the illusion of depth and interaction with physical space.
Light became the main storytelling element.
The concept focused on expressing the power and technological sophistication of the Audi Q8 through a visually driven experience. The idea was to make the viewer feel the presence of the car beyond the screen itself.
The key visual moment is the car emerging from a garage-like space, with its headlights glowing and extending toward the viewer, creating a strong sense of depth and immersion.

The key challenge was making the fly-out effect feel convincing.
A critical part of the project was preparing the 3D vehicle model and translating it accurately into anamorphic logic.
The main technical challenge was achieving a believable effect where the car appears to move beyond the physical boundaries of the screen.
This required tight control over perspective, depth and real-world viewing alignment, while the animation and lighting were tuned to stay clear and impactful within LED display constraints.
